This subcompact sedan is powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 82hp and 113Nm. The base model GL is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the top-spec GL+ gets a five-speed automated-manual transmission called Auto Gear Shift (AGS), which promises to deliver a fun driving feel and fuel efficiency of a manual gearbox with the convenience of an automatic transmission.
The front of the Dzire features a wide open grille with an aggressive bumper, while the rear has a skirt-like bumper (oh, and say goodbye to the awkward trunk of its predecessor). Completing the look are 15-inch alloy wheels.Inside, there’s a D-shaped steering wheel, black interiors, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (GL+) or 2-DIN sound system (GL), Multimedia Audio System (GL+), and seats covered in fabric with willow riverside pattern. Passengers seated at the back get these creature comforts: a rear console tray, 12V accessory socket, and rear AC ventilation. In terms of safety, the Dzire comes with anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, dual SRS airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, side impact beams, security alarm, and immobilizer. The GL+ gets rear parking sensors.
