Sony unveils new products at CES 2018

With the belief that there is still so much to innovate, Sony showcased new and smarter products during the CES 2018 at Las Vegas, Nevada. From home entertainment to on-the-go gear, here are the notable products that Sony launched:

4K OLED BRAVIA A8F Series

Powered by Sony’s X1 Extreme processor, the new 4K OLED BRAVIA A8F Series makes images come to life with its over 8 million self-illuminating pixels, sounds that maximizes the entire screen with its Acoustic Surface technology, and a TRILUMINOS Display that maps colors from a wider palette. This TV can even handle a variety of HDR formats including HDR10, Hybrid Log-Gamma, and Dolby Vision2.

WF-SP700N wireless noise-canceling stereo headset

The wireless WF-SP700N headphones support active lifestyle, allowing you to focus on your routines without worrying about outside noise, sweat, or rainwater. It’s also the world’s first noise-canceling with splash-proof (IPX4) functionality among wireless headphones. This new Sony wireless headphones boast an Ambient Sound mode that lets you hear your surroundings while listening to music. Moreover, it has punchier basslines with EXTRA BASS and can provide up to 9 hours of music playback. It will be optimized for the Google Assistant through an update.

Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra

Sony upgrades the Xperia line with two new midrange devices—the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra. Both models come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, fingerprint sensor at the back, metallic look courtesy of the anodized aluminum on the sides, and borderless design that takes the display to the edges.

The 5.2-inch XA2 features a 23MP main camera capable of 4K video capture with a maximum ISO 12800. It also boasts an 8MP 120-degree super wide-angle selfie front camera. Meanwhile, the 6-inch Xperia XA2 Ultra features the same 23MP main camera. On the front is a “dual selfie” front cameras consisting of a 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization and the 8MP 120-degree super wide-angle selfie camera. Both models are set to roll out globally from late January 2018.
