After hundreds of games, a three-month run, and days of fierce competition, Philippine-based Team Quid Pro Quo bagged the third spot at the recently concluded Asia Pacific (APAC) Predator League 2018 held at the Taman Anggrek Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Malaysian team Geek Fam secured the top spot, taking home $50,000 from the $150,000 prize pool. Indonesian team BOOM.ID placed second and won $25,000, while Quid Pro Quo took home $15,000.
Asia Pacific Predator League was launched in October 2017 as Predator Gaming’s brand new DOTA:2 league. This eSports competition was established to empower amateur gamers to showcase their skills and talent on a global scene.
In the Philippines, the Predator League 2018 eliminations saw the participation of 127 registered teams. All elimination legs were done in partnership with THENET.COM (TNC), the gaming company’s eSports partner.
The preliminary round of APAC Predator League 2018 saw around 1,197 eSports teams from India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The 2019 Predator League will extend to reach 14 APAC countries, with final rounds to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
