LG announces G Pad 8.3 tablet

If you’re drowning in a deluge of new tablets, you’ve got to hold your breath a little longer, as LG dives right in with the G Pad 8.3 a few days before the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, Germany, later this week. This latest addition to the G Series boasts the first Full HD display in the 8-inch range. Although its pixel density is not the highest in tablets, 273ppi is still quite impressive. It runs on Android 4.2.2, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB RAM, and is equipped with 16GB of internal storage and two cameras. The LG contender is larger than the popular tablet screen size of 7 inches (hello, Nexus 7) and the midsize 8 inches (hello, GALAXY Note 8.0), but the G Pad 8.3 is being marketed for its portability because of its light weight (338g) and thinness (8.3mm).
