In response to the continuously growing demand for ultra high performance (UHP) tires, Falken has unveiled its new highly advanced tire for the high-end market. Meet the AZENIS FK510.
Incorporating advanced features, the AZENIS FK510 promises top performance in wet conditions and superior protection from aquaplaning. These tires boast higher negative tread ratio combined with high volume circumferential grooves and rounded shoulder contours. Plus, the numerous blade sipes (small ‘cuts’ in the pattern blocks) optimize the footprint in cornering and cut through the water film on the road surface more effectively.
Using Adaptive Constant Pressure (ACP) technology, the AZENIS FK510 sports patterns that enhance braking performance, directional stability, and driving dynamics. These patterns ensures that there is consistent pressure distribution throughout the tire footprint. Its longitudinal grooves and enhanced flexibility provide a balanced response, particularly in cornering and load changes.
For grip and driving comfort, Falken utilized 4D Nano Design technology to develop the tire compounds. This not only provided the tire super grip, but also maximizes its wear resistance.
The Falken AZENIS FK510 has already convinced testers at German auto magazine Autozeitung, which bestowed the ‘Highly Recommended’ label on the tire. The German association of technical inspectors, GTUE, also gave it a ‘Highly Recommended’ status. Last but not the least, it has been named one of the top three tires in Auto Bild’s summer tire test, earning a rating of “Exemplary”.
Japan-made AZENIS FK510 covers a wide range of today’s luxury vehicles, including staggered applications. It is available in 69 sizes, ranging from 17 to 21-inch.
