5 things you can do with Smart’s free one hour of YouTube daily

Prepaid subscribers of Smart, TNT, and Sun can enjoy one hour free access of YouTube from now until July 15.

YouTube x Smart

Watching videos or creating your own content for YouTube has just become more convenient with its latest partnership with Smart Communications. Prepaid subscribers of Smart, TNT, and Sun can enjoy daily free one hour access of YouTube, beginning today until July 15.

By simply registering to any prepaid load package—such as GigaSurf99, AllOutSurf30, Panalo Data 30, Super Combo 20, or Big Time Data 70—subscribers can now enjoy this special offer for the duration of the packages.

“Through this path-breaking partnership, many more Filipinos can pursue their passions like musical and entertainment, learn a wide range of skills, hobbies, educational material, news, and information through the massive library of video materials on YouTube. This service is something every Filipino should have access to,” says Oscar A. Reyes, Jr., Smart’s senior vice president for consumer business market development.

Here are five things you can do with your free one hour YouTube access everyday:

1. Watch product unboxing and review videos

If you’re interested in buying a new gadget or product, but you’re still unsure it’s worth your money and you don’t really have the time to drive down to the mall (or because it’s just too hot to go out right now), turn to YouTube for some advice.

Check out the latest unboxing videos from Speed’s very own YouTube channel and don’t forget to subscribe to Speed’s YouTube channel, too!

2. Be inspired by emerging talents

Pinoys are extremely talented in so many ways, and the dancing tandem of siblings Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero prove this. Better known as Ranz and Niana, the candid antics and dance parodies of the young YouTube stars are always delight to watch, especially when you’re feeling down and uninspired.

3. Enjoy a good sound trip

“Video killed the radio star,” goes a popular ‘70s song, but actually, it only opened a new avenue for musicians to showcase their work and has even brought them closer to fans with the interactive comments section of YouTube. Thanks to Vevo, you can now watch your favorite music videos and recordings of live performances from your favorite artists anytime.

4. Learn something new

Who says YouTube is only for entertainment? There’s a whole world of knowledge out there and people are taking advantage of the platform to share information with one another. Learn a new skill like cooking a healthy yet inexpensive meal from experts like Erwan Heussaff:

5. Become a content creator

We all have our own personal stories to tell. As for former Speed cover girl Andi Manzano-Reyes, her life has completely changed with the arrival of her daughter Olivia. On her own YouTube channel, she shares her young and beautiful family’s adventures—and this is something you can do, too! As long as you have a camera and a Smart prepaid subscription, you can easily upload your own videos to YouTube using Smart’s high-speed mobile data services.

Aside from YouTube, Smart is also set to provide free access—soon, for a limited time—to Smart360, a web portal where Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers can access various digital content like live TV, movies, series, music, and games.
