MARCH 2006 ISSUE

And the champion is?

After taking a look at all three systems, there's only one thing to do: buy all three. Okay, so that may not sound realistic; but if one could, then that would be great, wouldn't it? Seriously, the choice of the machine to buy ultimately boils down to what games you're after. The Xbox 360 looks to be the most action-oriented system; the system offers some of the best single and multiplayer experiences with FPSs like Perfect Dark Zero and Halo. The PS3 is for gamers who enjoy PS2 titles, along with PS-exclusive games. Those looking forsomething really different and innovative can go with the Revolution.

Any way you look at it, the gamer is the winner here. Here are three great consoles offering three very distinct gaming experiences. We're only just beginning to get a taste of it. It will probably take a year or two for developers to tap into the potentials of each system (some of the best games on the current generation consoles only came out this year). If anything, that's only more reason for excitement. And for saving up some cash to get these things in your hands.
