The next-generation gaming console war is on. The players - Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo - all boast their new machine's capabilities. And gamers are left to consider which system they'll be getting. In an ideal world the gamer would have all three, but considering that the Xbox 360 and PS3 will sell in the neighborhood of US$400-$500 and the Revolution for around $250, gamers may have to choose only one or two.

The early release was the Xbox 360, but don't think that its headstart gives it too much of an advantage. Whereas the last-gen consoles saw the Xbox with a clear advantage in terms of processor power and graphics, the PS3 looks like it will match, if not beat, the 360 in terms of plain power. While the XB360 and PS3 are battling it out in the processing arena, the Revolution opts for something not as technologically powerful but what could be the most innovative thing we've ever seen in gaming.
