Ford Escape 2.3, Ford Everest A/T, Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer
Safer, Sexier Fords

"Hi, my name's Henry Ford! How would you like your Ford, sir? Compact or Full-size? Diesel or gas? And would you like power folding rear seats to go with your cupholders?" Ford Philippines' Sport Utility Vehicle lineup is on a roll with a trio of enhancements for a better ownership experience.

Escape 4x2 XLT 2.3
Sister to the Mazda Tribute, the Escape 4x2 XLT also gets the new and bigger 2.3-liter DOHC 16-valve Duratec engine with 157ps at 6,000 rpm and 203 Newton-meters of torque at 4,500 rpm. Other improvements include better on-center steering feel, retuned suspension system for better handling stability and ride comfort, an overhead console, power antenna, ABS with EBD and mechanical brake assist, color-key bumpers and body cladding, and a honeycomb grille with chrome inserts. Safety features also include dual SRS airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, and SecuriLock passive anti-theft system.

Price: P1,080,000.

Ford Everest A/T
Just because it's a workhorse doesn't mean you've got to drive like one, too. New for the ladder-frame chassis Everest is an available 4-speed automatic transmission. The turbodiesel engine churns out 110ps at 3,500 rpm and 268 Newton-meters of torque at 2,000 rpm. Ford also claims this 7-seater SUV to be the safest. A limited slip differential, dual SRS airbags, 4-wheel ABS, side door intrusion beams, foglamps, and remote keyless entry are all standard in the 4x4 XLT.

Price: P1,075,000 for the 4x2 A/T and P1,298,000 for the 4x4 A/T variant.

Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer
Ahh, the sweet aroma of genuine cowhide seats, the indulgence of a power folding 3rd row seat. And the indescribable pleasure of gunning a big V8 to the redline! The Eddie Bauer's got a 5.4-liter, 32-valve V8 pumping out 260 horses at 4,500 rpm and 475 Newton-meters of torque at 2,500 rpm. Loaded to the roof rails with every comfort and convenience feature you'd expect in an SUV, highlights include a PowerFold 3rd row seat that disappears into the floor, dual-zone automatic climate control, 7-speaker sound system, and power-adjustable driver's seat, outside mirrors, and pedals. Safety features include dual SRS airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, driver's side keypad entry, reverse sensors, side door intrusion beams, and Securilock passive anti-theft system.

Price: P2,795,000.
