Chiaroscuro-the interplay of light and shadow-is utilized in this photograph to accentuate the softly undulating curves of the female form. Instead of the usual passive "odalisque" pose, Angeles has decided to show an empowered woman breaking free from conventions. Modeled by Kyla Fernandez
