The IDEA 2004 Awards

Nokia 7600
Another gold winner in the Consumer Products category, the Nokia 7600 modifies the focus from voice calls to still imaging and video technology, placing its screen right at the center of the phone itself. It won't be long before its curious shape starts to influence the design of other cellphones in the market, because it is such a standout-with two curved edges and the other two at points opposite each other on the diagonal. An added design feature is the choice of leather or suede for the changeable parts (like the outer casing)-a nice touch to add warmth to what could be just another high-tech gizmo in the market, and perfect for those who love to customize their cellphones.
