The IDEA 2004 Awards

Apple iPod Mini
Trust Apple to follow through with their leave-nothing-undesigned design philosophy. The iPod Mini is about as big (or as tiny?) as a business card, and at 3.6 ounces, weighs almost half of the original iPod. With its 4GB of memory, you can store up to 1,000 songs. In five colors, they're cute enough to eat-a design strategy that worked for Apple with their iMacs a few years back. The iPod Mini design won gold in the Consumer Products category.
