HP's Anabelle Co

What's a typical working day for you?
I usually go to the office early, arriving between 8:30am and 9:00am. It's nice to start the day by checking e-mails early in the morning. Then I would list down the To-Do's, and off the day goes.

I often have teleconferences with regional folks, and I have scheduled meetings in or out of the office. For out-of-the-office meetings, it would usually mean meeting clients or channel partners for lunch, or sometimes at their office.

Typically, I would receive more than a hundred e-mails in a day. By the end of the day, I would usually clear my Inbox, so that I can start clean the next day. I don't like leaving things pending or hanging, so as much as possible I act and respond quickly. I'd say I am a swift worker.

On lighter days, I'd have a good lunch with my officemates or with my sister, and then have coffee at Starbucks before going back. It makes me more relaxed and energized to go back to work. On busy days, I leave the office at 6:00-6:30pm. On not-so-hectic days, I can leave by 5:30pm.

Is this the job you had in mind back when you were in college?
Well, not really. I knew I wanted to get a job in one of the top multinational companies, but back then it seemed really tough to get in any company like that. I never dreamt of working for an I.T. company... I was more interested in getting a consulting or marketing job for consumer products, the likes of Accenture or P&G.

Back in my school days, I wasn't so tech-savvy as I am now. Overall, I am glad I landed here. It gave me a whole new view of the world of I.T.

Where did you study?
I graduated from, high school at Immaculate Conception Academy in 1994. Then I Majored in Psychology and Marketing Management (LIA-COM) at De La Salle University, graduating in 1999. During those days, I received a number of Dean's List recognitions, ranging from 1st and 2nd honors. I even received the Jose Rizal award for being consistent in the Dean's List. That was a great achievement for me at that time, and it made me realize that I could excel in anything I wanted to do if I really put my mind to it.

Quite an achievement. Personally, I flunked Calculus and slept through?err, let's move on. In your own opinion, what's the most interesting thing about yourself?
The most interesting thing about me is how I love life, and how I live it to the fullest. Realizing that our life is only borrowed time, it leads me to achieve many things, without procrastination. It leads me to discover new things, and it leads me to aim high. It helps me not to look back, instead, charge forward and achieve in the future. And because I love life itself, it also leads me to do things which can enhance it -- like exercise, diet, activities which can make me a better person. I'm a "no smoking, no drinking" person.

Loving life will not be complete without family. I am a very family-oriented person. I love my mom very much. I find strength in her, and often wonder in awe how she was able to take care and groom 3 girls single-handedly. I have 2 younger sisters, both of whom I love to bits! Having my 2 sisters is enough to cover for my "best friend" list. They back me up at all times, giving me more confidence and courage to aim high.

By the way, we have all the same initial, which is A.B.C. (my sisters' names: Abigail Beatrice and Angeline Bridget). All three of us studied in ICA (elementary-high school), and we all graduated from DLSU.

What do you love to do?
Shopping!!! I guess almost all girls like that, too. I have a great interest in clothes, shoes and bags. For clothes, mostly I buy Mango, Armani, XOXO, Amichi, Mphosis, and Esprit. For shoes, definitely Nine West! My experience with Nine West shoes: very fashionable design, worth every penny and until today, none of my shoes have ever needed repair! For bags, I go for Furla and my favorite: Prada!
