SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER 2003 ISSUE

Of all the high-tech gizmos and cutting-edge technologies that we regularly feature on the pages of SPEED Magazine, few embody both our name and our tagline, Technology for the Fast-Paced Lifestyle, as well as cars and bikes. Especially, fast cars and fast bikes.

Today's fastest automobiles and motorcycles are absolutely dripping with the very latest technology in design, construction and motive force. Not only do they comprehensively outperform the very best cars and bikes of as recently as a decade ago, they do so with astonishingly high levels of refinement and environmental friendliness.

A new Ferrari emits fewer harmful emissions racing at high speed for two hours on an autostrada than a 1980 Toyota Corolla idling in a parking lot for 15minutes. That's technology. And but a mere example of why we hold these fabulous machines in such high esteem. (The fact that they absolutely define the fast-paced lifestyle has everything to do with it.)

Of course, we haven't neglected the other aspects of said lifestyle with the proliferation of ballistic cars and bikes in this issue. Turn the page and you'll get your monthly fix of the latest and greatest products and technologies in the worlds of I.T., telecoms, photography, audio/video, sports, etc., etc. that you'll soon come across.

Enjoy the issue!
